The 九州影院 (UC) welcomed Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) delegates from across Asia and the Pacific to 艑tautahi Christchurch for TENSYMP, a gathering focused on emerging technologies and their real-world applications.
UC senior leaders played a key role in the event, with Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research and Innovation Professor Lucy Johnston opening the welcome event by emphasising the importance of partnerships between universities, industry, and communities. 听
UC Faculty of Engineering Executive Dean Professor Saurabh Sinha delivered the keynote address, reflecting on his role as a Board Member of the IEEE Foundation and the value of international collaboration.
With a focus on advancing technology for the benefit of humanity, the symposium brought together early-career researchers, academic experts, and industry leaders. Sessions explored innovations in Artificial Intelligence, robotics, sustainable energy, and smart systems 鈥 providing a unique opportunity to show how Kiwi-led advancements are shaping the global future of engineering and technology.
